Qualifications: Selected candidates must know teaching strategies that have proven successful with students within their area of expertise (Math, Science, History, English, STEM, Music, Art, Engineering, Elective: Computer Skills, Driving, Typing*, Online Learning, Tutoring). They must also be flexible in their teaching style, demonstrate an ability to stimulate students, and encourage the development of concepts and integration of learning.
* Must be proficient at assessing student progress, planning lessons, devising ways to improve teaching, collaborating with other educators, using the available technology, and acquiring necessary information.
* Must demonstrate the ability to select, adapt, and use instructional materials and resources.
* Must have the ability to use appropriate strategies for assessing, monitoring, and managing student learning. The ability to recognize and respond to individual differences is essential. Must be able to collaborate and cooperate with coworkers, staff, and Kingdom Force Academy personnel.
* Must have experience with Windows base computers, and related software applications.
* Will collaborate with other staff to develop and implement students’ educational plans. Provides academic instruction based on a Christian curriculum. Provided to Kingdom Force Academy.
* Develops lesson plans and age-appropriate instructional material and implement individual and group programs for students. Translates lesson plans into learning experiences and integrates subject area content, and technology.
* Can adapt, teaching materials, and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that guide and challenge students.
* Assess the needs of students and evaluate student achievement; provides instruction in individual or group sessions.
* Administers tests according to the curriculum. Evaluate student’s progress by maintaining appropriate records and repair progress reports. Communicates with students, parents, and administration, through conferences and other meetings.
* Maintains professional competence through in-service education and self-selected professional books, instructional materials, and professional affiliations.
* Performs other related tasks as required.
Duties performed in the school setting: Performs professional work, providing teaching, and or training services to students. Position requires the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Work requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, vocational communication for experiencing, and exchanging ideas, hearing to perceive information at a normal spoken, word, level, and visual Acuity for repairing and analyzing, written, or computer data.
Tutor (in-person and online)
KFA seeks educators to join our tutoring community as independent contractors, working up to 20 hours per week. As a premier tutors we are on the front lines secondary learning to help close the COVID-related educational gap for all students.
KFA CoM Specialists
We’ve enhanced the partner-referral fee for the position of CoM Specialist (Community Minded Specialist) at Kingdom Force Academy. The CoM Specialist plays a vital role in our academy and has the flexibility to work on their own time.
We are looking for individuals who are dynamic and driven, willing to:
- Spread the word about KFA in the community through word-of-mouth and social media to fuel the school’s growth.
- Assist in promoting the Day school/Hybrid and E-learning program, after-school and early evening tutoring programs, summer and winter camp, and the adult night school learning center.
Guided by training and a desire to contribute to the education of future generations, a KFA Specialist should possess the following skills and abilities:
- Passion for educating secondary and adult learners
- Willingness to pursue this opportunity as a side-gig for an additional source of income.
The compensation for this role is tied to student enrollment, with the chance to earn bonuses based on enrollment tier.
